Not sure how to celebrate Cross Dress 2008?

Participation and fundraising options are almost limitless – you can make Cross Dress for Red Cross as grand as your imagination allows! Here are some ideas to get you thinking:

Host a Cross Dress for Red Cross morning tea – get your work mates and friends to donate money to see you swap your gender attire and discuss your outfit over some nibbles. Share a cup of tea and a laugh!

Collect an item of clothing or accessories from everyone in your organisation for a ‘lucky dip’ box, then have fun dressing participants up throughout the day

Stick up a photo board in a communal area of nominees faces and ‘dress’ them with clothing or celebrity bodies from magazines or other photos in the lead up to Friday 7 September. Ask pledgers to vote for the outfit they’d most like to see the nominee cross dress in.

Not sure what to wear?

We’ve got some great suggestions to get you inspired!  Who is your favourite hero or heroine?  What about your favourite villain?  Celebrity? Sporting personality?  Simply dress as someone of the opposite gender and you’ve got it covered.

Red Cross Shops are a great source of inexpensive, pre loved clothing that would be perfect for the occasion.  There are many shops in the metropolitan and regional areas and proceeds from every sale go to help people in need.  A list of shop locations can be found here.
